Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile dysfunction is the inability to develop or maintain an erection of the penis prior to or during sexual activity and until ejaculation – this is also called impotence.

An erection of the penis is the hydraulic effect of blood flowing into the penile vessels and trapped by high pressure causing an erection. The process is usually initiated as a result of sexual arousal when the brain transmits chemical messages to nerves in the penis telling the penile blood vessels to relax so that blood can flow freely into the penis. Erectile dysfunction is indicated when an erection is difficult to produce.

Erectile dysfunction causes – a number of factors, such as:

 1)  Arsenic poisoning from drinking water.

2)  Cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

3)   Neurological problems (for example, trauma from prostatectomy surgery).

4)   Hormonal insufficiencies (hypogonadism).

5)   Drug side effects.

6)  Psychological causes: performance anxiety, stress, mental disorders (clinical depression, schizophrenia, substance abuse, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, personality disorders or traits), psychological problems, negative feelings.

7)  Neurogenic disorders (spinal cord and brain injuries, nerve disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and stroke).

8)  Ageing. It is four times higher in men in their 60s than in men in their 40s.

9) Kidney failure.

10)Smoking: a key cause of erectile dysfunction. Smoking causes impotence because it promotes arterial narrowing.

A study indicated that impotence can also be associated with bicycling – the number of hours on a bike and/or the pressure on the penis from the saddle of a bicycle is related to erectile dysfunction.

Generally, there are no tests to diagnose erectile dysfunction though certain physiological problems and life style habits are considered risk factors, as indicated previously. Erectile dysfunction is also related to poor physical health, obesity, and cardiovascular disease.

Erectile Dysfunction Treatment

Erectile dysfunction can be treated at any age. Treatment depends on your overall health and the underlying cause of the problem.

Some of these problems can be surgically rectified thus increasing the blood flow to the penis; nonetheless there is no guaranty that there will be full cure for the impotence.

Pharmaceutical treatments for impotence can be prescribed by a doctor. Some of these are taken orally and some injected directly into the penis. Popular oral medications are – Viagra, Cialis and Levitra. All three work in much the same way. They increase blood flow and allow you to get an erection in response to sexual stimulation. These medications vary in dosage, how long they work and their side effects. Your doctor will take into account your particular situation to determine which medication may work best. These medications do not rectify your erectile dysfunction immediately. You may need to work with your doctor to find the right medication and dose for you. Not all men should take them to treat erectile dysfunction. They may not work or may be dangerous for you.

Note that medications carry risk of priapism- persistent, usually painful erection of the penis, especially as a consequence of disease and not related to sexual arousal.

If nothing seems satisfactory, often, penile prosthesis implants can be considered which involves the insertion of artificial rods into the penis.

Erectile dysfunction can cause stress, anxiety or depression. It can make your married life or social life miserable. Impotence is a common problem in men- in fact, one in five men experience erectile dysfunction and companies knows this as your spam filter will tell you they will try to market drugs for treatment of erectile dysfunction whether they are safe, legal or effective. Penis Enlargement

Does sizereally matter? Don’t fool yourself; the answer is a resounding YES! Unfortunately, many of us men are not well endowed between the legs and it may develop into an inferiority complex when it comes to women and sexual confidence in the bedroom. How to deal and live with a small penis that won’t likely give the pleasure treatment your lady will deserve can be a lifelong frustration. Besides satisfying your woman, a large penis size is considered in most cultures as a sign of virility, power and health.

In many cases a small penis may make intercourse difficult or impossible and especially when attempting certain positions. Regardless, there are lots of males who are unsatisfied concerning the size of their penis and there are also a lot of women who would wish their partners had been much more gifted instead of having a small penis.

The average penis is five to seven inches long when erect (measured from the tip of the penis head to the abdomen). To enlarge the penis cells are stimulated in the corpa cavernosa which then create new cells which inturn increases the length and girth and creates that large penis. The Penis enlargement processes will slowly increase the size of the penis by increasing the girth, length of the penis thereby increasing the length of the 2 chambers that run up and down the penis. During arousal these chambers are filled with blood and expand which allows the penis to grow and creates the big, thick penis enlargement when erected.

Penis size is an important aspect of any man’s life and you would likely want to do something to increase your penis size and become the talk of the town. You want a penis your partner will dream about and enlarging your penis seems like a great idea.

The great thing is penis enlargement works. However, there are so many penis enlargement products out there that choosing the right product is difficult and confusing for many, thus they quickly gave up and never got with the program to enlarge their penises. Also, some procedures can even have health-threatening side-effects while there are way too many things out there that are just plain gimmicks and don’t work at all.
Two techniques that are recommended are Big Penis Advantage or Secret Penis Enlargement – these I have personally used and are currently use by thousands of men worldwide
and it has been tested many times over. These are strategies that will allow a man’s penis to
grow naturally and safely by implementing specifically designed exercises. It allows the ligaments and cells to stretch to their maximum length. Each time the penis is stretched the ligaments and cells on a microscopic level allows the penis to become harder and longer.

Male Multiple Orgasm – Enhance your sexual life and be in a state of highest emotional bliss.

Male multiple orgasm is the ability to achieve more than one orgasm from a single erection. And, yes it is possible for every man to experience multiple male orgasms. It involves an understanding of the male orgasm and  functioning of the male sexuality. Too often men mistakenly think ejaculation and orgasm are the same thing and hence consumed on the one objective of ejaculating. This takes away from the process of lovemaking and diminishes the pleasure for both partners. When a man is able to master the process of becoming multi-orgasmic the pleasure in bed will be increased dramatically both for him and also his partner.

Multiple orgasms occur in a succession prior to ejaculation and with very little loss in sexual arousal in between. It is erroneous to think that being able to have another erection of the penis soon after ejaculation and climax is multi-orgasmic. It is not. Multiple male orgasms are only orgasms prior to ejaculation without the loss of erection, the exception being the final male orgasm and ejaculation occurring at the same time. Note that women have the natural ability to experience multiple female orgasms through stimulation of the vagina during a sexual encounter.

The key to multiple male orgasms is the ability to modulate the orgasmic feeling from arousal to until a point near ejaculation or “point of no return”. As the “point of no return” approaches the goal is not to crest over into ejaculation but to decrease the orgasmic feeling and stimulation of the penis just long enough to gain control of the ejaculatory feeling.  This can be achieved by squeezing the PC muscles (pubococcygeal muscle – muscle that stretches from the pubic bone to the coccyx {tail bone}).

To have multiple orgasms it is vital to understand that orgasm and ejaculation are distinct events, and to learn to distinguish and separate them. As stated earlier the ability to separate these events involves the pubococcygeal muscle or “PC muscle” as it’s commonly known. When stopping the flow of urine mid-stream this muscle is put into action. If stopping the flow is difficult, you have a weak PC muscle. If this is the case you will need to work on strengthening the PC muscle before you’ll be able to have multiple orgasms.

One of the biggest hindrance men will face when trying to become multi-orgasmic is the inability to properly squeeze the PC muscle during orgasm to block ejaculation. Another problem a number of men face is failing to know where orgasm and ejaculation actually begins and end.

Experiencing multiple orgasms as a male is quite sensational and mind blowing-you will be in a state of the highest emotional bliss you have ever experienced. Your ability to become multi-orgasmic will help you greatly during lovemaking. You will be able to dramatically lost longer in bed by refraining from genital release or ejaculation until you choose to, and you will be free from worries and anxiety and able to focus more on pleasing your partner.

However, as previously indicated your ability to have multiple orgasms depends on your overall sexual awareness, and the strength and control of your PC muscle along with other factors. It should be understood that it could take several weeks or even months before you succeed, it all depends on your own personal effort and determination. There will be accidents and cumming by mistake, but it is all part of a learning process. This is not something that can be easily accomplished by yourself. For help with training and techniques I recommend Ian Kessler’s Male Multiple Orgasm – it’s an extremely powerful way to enhance your sexual life. It is a completely natural method that relies only on your body’s natural capabilities. It has helped men and their partners from all over the world in a revolutionary way experience all of the orgasmic joy they want, regardless of age or physical limitations.

Male Orgasm

In achieving the male orgasm your body goes through a complex process that involves several organs, blood vessels, and muscles and nerves all working together at the same time to produce the ultimate ejaculation of sperm.  The hormone, testosterone, which is produced inside the testicles, is responsible for this process and the sexual drive or desire of the male. Low testosterone generally means low sex drive and, consequently, difficulty having an orgasm.

Everyday millions of sperms are manufactured in the testicles and mixed with protein-rich fluid, which nourishes and acts as a life support to the sperm after ejaculation for a short time. The mixture of fluid and sperm is called semen and it’s what is ejaculated during orgasm.

Males are able to reach orgasm from the time they hit puberty.  During puberty, many males often masturbate their penis to reach the much vaunted male orgasm. Also, they even reach orgasm during their sleep while dreaming of having sex or a sexual situation.  It is not unusual for this pattern to continue over adulthood even though they have a sexual partner. This is commonly known as a wet dream.

The period after sex and ejaculation is known as a refractory period and is often a relaxing experience.  After ejaculation, the penis begins to lose its erection – approximately half of the erection is lost immediately and it slowly becomes flaccid. The man may feel relaxed and sleepy. The refractory period usually last up to half an hour which is the recovery phase and during this time the man cannot have another erection.

It is worth to note here that women do not have to undergo a refractory period and can have multiple orgasms without the loss of sexual arousal.

The process of reaching the male orgasm can be intensely pleasurable, mind blowing and blissful. However, many men have sexual problems that prevent them from experiencing satisfaction from sexual activity. The most common sexual problems in men are ejaculation problems – namely premature ejaculation. Premature ejaculation can have devastating long-term effects on relationships and it can contribute to lack of self-confidence, embarrassment, emotional and sexual trauma. This often leads to sex which is far less fulfilling for both partners, since the man is not capable of lasting as long as is needed for optimal pleasure and sexual satisfaction.

If you are having problems with premature ejaculation or would like to last longer in bed with great orgasmic pleasure, I recommend either of (click each link here) The Ejaculation Trainer  or Ejaculation by Command.

Premature Ejaculation Treatment and  Causes

Premature ejaculation is a condition where a man ejaculates shortly after penetration or earlier than he or his partner would like him to. In other words, it is a condition in which a man ejaculates before his sex partner achieves orgasm, or if ejaculation occurs usually within two minutes of penetration.

Most men would describe premature ejaculation as the worst moment of their lives especially if their partner voiced open disappointment in the bedroom. Apart from those men who have chronic ejaculation problems, just about every man has an instance of premature ejaculation from time to time. There are many reasons why premature ejaculation can happen.

Premature Ejaculation Possible Causes

1) Penis Hypersensitivity

When it comes to premature ejaculation the widely held presumption is that the more sensitive a man’s penis, the more likely he is to reach orgasm quickly during intercourse. However, some researchers have found an inverse relation between penile responsiveness to stimulation and the climax time.  This is not a clear cut finding, but interesting.

Research has also find that men who have early ejaculation during sexual intercourse also tend to ejaculate quite quickly during masturbation, almost as twice as fast as other men. It suggests that there is something different in the nervous system of men who prematurely ejaculate. However, it’s more probable that these men have conditioned themselves to rapidly ejaculate after stimulation.

2) Brain Abnormalities

There are numerous cases where abnormalities or anomalies in the composition of the brain cause emotional illness and some instances results in fatality. So it is not far fetch that they could also result in conditions like premature ejaculation.

The Ejaculation process involves several stages and requires the operation of a number of genital apparatus:- the ampullary vas deferens, seminal vesicles, prostate gland and urethra and bospongiosus muscle.  The neurotransmitter serotonin (a compound secreted in the brain) plays an important role in the functioning of these parts and the resulting ejaculation. Studies have shown that low level of serotonin in the brain could cause premature ejaculation.

3) Negativity: performance anxiety, fear of sex, fear of not being good enough, sexual shame and guilt

A heightened emotional state e.g. anxiety, depression, anger, fear etc., and a heightened sexual state are triggered by similar mechanisms in the brain.

The connection between a heightened emotional state and a heightened sexual state means that a man who is experiencing a high level of anxiety – heightened mental activity, rapid heartbeat, unusual sweating and other symptoms, is more than likely to have a rapid increase in his level of sexual arousal during sex and an uncontrollable early ejaculation.

A man can be filled with all sorts of pre-sex anxiety, such as: fear of being judge as inadequate by his partner – this may be triggered by his perception, for example, of his penis size, his ability to control his ejaculation, his fear of sex itself which may have developed as a result of negative sexual childhood experiences (usually centered around masturbation or sexual abuse by an older individual). There are direct connections between these highly charged emotional states and the sexual activity itself. That is, a man who worries about ejaculating too quickly will increase his level of anxiety which heightens his awareness and makes him more anxious about coming too soon. As a result, he will find himself actually ejaculating too quickly.

With respect to sexual shame and guilt, they more or less work in the same way – the level of sexual arousal and the level of anxiety are increased, and consequently premature ejaculation occurs. Shame and guilt surrounding sex are normally derived from negative childhood associations, such as punishment for masturbating or any other sexual indulgence. Eventually, sexual activity becomes an anxiety charges event and may even be threatening

4) Sexually Inexperienced

A boy or a man’s, for that matter, first sexual intercourse is highly charged and emotional irrespective of the amount of conditioning he went through, such as watching pornography, looking at pictures, reading books etc. He is, naturally, extremely excited due to all the anticipatory buildup prior to the event.  This high level of sexual excitation will speed up the time it takes to reach climax given rise to premature ejaculation.

5) Forced or fast ejaculation habit develop during masturbation

Certain habit of masturbation during puberty may lead to premature ejaculation later in adulthood. When a young man is afraid his sexual activity may be discovered or feels shamed or guilt, he may try to hasten his release. This forced sexual release if becomes habitual may negatively affect a man ejaculation during intercourse later in life.

6) Lack of awareness of the level of  sexual arousal

If a man is not aware of his increasing sexual arousal it may be the reason why he suddenly finds himself ejaculating even though he had no sense of approaching his point of no return. Many men engrossed in the act of sexual dominance and the goal of providing optimum pleasure to their partner forgets to pay attention to their own feelings and keeps plowing away. One has to pay more attention to one’s sexual arousal and feelings and modulating the sexual movement thereby maintaining control of ejaculation.

5) Hypersensitivity to sexual stimulation

One can be too sensitive to sexual stimulation psychologically and mentally. Certain touch, image or shapes or sight of a particular profile that’s in your mind may trigger an orgasmic feeling and hence an uncontrollable sexual release or premature ejaculation.

As far as male sexual problems, premature ejaculation is the most common and the most frustrating to deal with, because you know there must be a way to better sex, only if you could last longer! When premature ejaculation becomes a chronic issue, you need help and it can be solved only if you just follow the right way to do it.
